At the close of each accounting year the standing registrar issues an annual gazette: a single short document that totals the year's accessions, breaks them down by analytical pass and anomaly class, lists the withdrawals and errata of record, and publishes the year-end head-hash binding the catalogue's contents at the moment of issue (see §8.4). The gazette is the canonical citation for the catalogue's state at year-end.

conventions of the issue
Each gazette is composed in the registry's house style and follows a fixed running order: a short preface by the standing registrar, the year's accession total broken down by the analytical pass under which the metadata is reported, the bookkeeping breakdown by anomaly class, the list of withdrawals and the count of errata, and finally the year-end head-hash declaration with the genesis-hash and proof-chain length.
The gazette is composed at year-end. Issues for the current accounting year are listed in the index above as in preparation and may be consulted in draft, but they bind the registry only after the year has been formally closed.
