addendum to the cataloguing rules

§4.3 of the cataloguing rules is amended to clarify the treatment of multi-mineralic submissions. Where a single physical specimen is composed of more than one identifiable mineral phase in observable proportions, each phase shall be assigned its own accession identifier, cross-referenced to the others under §4.3.2.

The previous practice of assigning a single composite identifier is discontinued. Existing composite records will be split as resources permit; an addendum will accompany each split.
