active-watch protocol
The registry has formalised the practice, in place informally since 2011, of placing certain anomalous records under sustained observation.
A record placed under the active-watch protocol shall: (a) carry a notice on its public record page; (b) appear in the rolling internal review list; (c) be re-examined no less often than every 90 days, with each examination noted in the addendum series.
Withdrawal from the protocol requires the registrar's explicit decision and shall be noted in the addendum series.
